Good to know
Burn
Burn is money out minus money in each month. If money in is higher, you are cash positive and the runway does not end.
Plan for 12 months
Many founders aim to keep at least 12 months of runway, and to start raising money or cutting costs well before it drops to 6.
Count real cash only
Use cash actually received and paid. Invoices not yet paid by customers are not cash until they arrive.
Update it monthly
Run this every month with real figures from your bank and books. A trend tells you more than one number.
