How long
26 weeks for the first two children, of which up to 8 weeks can be before the expected delivery. 12 weeks from the third child, and 12 weeks for adoption of a child under three months or commissioning.
How much
Pay at the average daily wage for the period of absence. This tool uses monthly wages spread over the leave days.
Who qualifies
Women who have worked at least 80 days in the 12 months before the expected delivery.
Work from home
After the leave, the employer and employee may agree on work from home where the work allows it.
